Q: How does Exotel's billing work?
A: Exotel operates on a prepaid model. You will need to make a minimum recharge of Rs. 6000 which comes with a 3 month validity. This amount will be transferred as Exotel Credits which you can then use towards Base rentals & Usage charges for your ExoPhone. At the end of 3 months, you will need to do a validity recharge again (within 7 days of validity expiration) and any leftover credits will be carried forward. If you run out of Exotel Credits during the validity period, you can always top-up your account with recharges starting at Rs. 500.

Q: What are Exotel Credits?
A: Exotel Credits are the currency you use inside ExoPhone towards Base Rentals & Usage charges. 1 Exotel Credit is equivalent to 1 Rupee of call or SMS value. These credits have a validity of a fixed number of days. If you don't use up Exotel Credits during the validity period, they will expire unless carried forward with another validity recharge.

Q: What is a Validity Recharge?
A: A validity recharge will extend the lifetime of your Exotel account by a fixed number of days. They also come with Exotel Credits that you can use towards Base Rentals & Usage charges during the validity period. At the end of your validity period, you will need to do a validity recharge to keep using your ExoPhone and credits.

Q: What is a Top-up?
A: When your Exotel Credit balance runs out, you can top-up or recharge your account either with or without validity pack, just like you would for a prepaid mobile. Top-up vouchers start at just Rs.500!

Q: What form of payments do you accept?
A: We accept Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking and Cheques.

Q: What is a Smart App?
A: Smart Apps are the reason Exotel is a smart system! A Smart App decides what Exotel does when a customer calls your ExoPhone. E.g.: The Zero App simply forwards all calls to an Employee or User who is available or take a voicemail if nobody picks up. You can install one Smart App per ExoPhone.
